This work must be complete!!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I’m really sorry, but I won’t be able to make it in today. I am hoping to be back tomorrow, so don’t get too carried away. Please make sure that you either leave a paper register, or sign in with Mrs Bird in the sixth form office, and I will sort out the register when I return.

Below is the work I will expect you to do in my absence. This needs to be brought with you to your next law lesson, with NO exceptions. In addition, Y12, please make sure that you leave your DL handouts with the work from Friday on the pile in the corner of the classroom.

13A p.1&2
Please produce a plan in response to the folllowing questions. You have the grid for planning in your revision booklet, along with some suggestions as to where to start using the cards.

“Evaluate the contribution of R v Jones (Kenneth) to the development of the law on attempts [16]

I would also like you to contiue revising for your mock on Friday.

12D2 p.3&4
Using your research skills, complete p.6 of the handout on community sentences. this means that for each of the titles in the grid, you need to be able to explain what it is, and how it operates

Hayley – there are spare handouts in the corner of the room under the noticeboard.

12D1 p.6
Using your research skills (remember the online textbook can help you with this, as can the justice ministry’s website)) explain what is meant by each of the following custodial sentences and when they apply:

Discretionary life sentence
Fixed term sentence
Home detention curfew
Suspended sentence
Mandatory sentence
Indeterminate sentence for public protection
